Wheeler Farm

I took Sami to Wheeler Farm on her little Pre-school field trip!

It was a fun day... cold... but really fun. Sami was so cute running with her little friend all day. We saw the animals and had a wagon ride and toured the historical house!

I felt sad though... because I realized that is the last pre-school field trip I will ever go on. She will be in Kindergarten soon and I will have all my kids in school. I feel sad about that and I am not really sure why... I was looking forward to this time, and now that it's here I feel a little anxious. I am not sure I really want my kids to grow up!!

We went the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point while we were off-Track.
It was nice to get out of the house and have something fun today in the cold weather!
We went with my good friend Miss and her cute little kids!

It was a fun out-let!!!

Spring Chaos

Zach and Sami are both playing spring ball and Natalie has dance so we are SO Busy... What was I thinking signing them all up for this stuff??

Sami is playing soccer and loves it! She is so cute to watch. Her team is the Hot Tamales and she is on it with all her little friends. It's been a fun thing for her to do! She is really wanting to take ice skating lessons so we will do that soon!

Zach is playing baseball and he absolutely loves it! He is getting really good and it's fun to watch him progress and learn the game and the sportsmanship that he learns from playing with a team. He is such a wonderful little guy! So sweet and kind.

So we are just running around all the time... but it's a great stage of life to be in and I wouldn't trade it for the world! I love being a mom of these little kids. The ages that they are all at are so fun! It's fun to drive Natalie to dance and hear about the day at school. She's a great girl and she tells me everything (at least I think everything). I love spending time with Sami while the other two are at school and then having time with Zach at games!

Chaotic... but WORTH EVERY MINUTE!

Picture Perfect Sundays

The past two Sunday's have been so warm that we have been going up to Alta to practice baseball.

Nicole is playing fast-pitch softball and Brad is playing baseball again after taking some much needed rest from it and Zach is playing again this year. So we have been working on their MAD SKILLS!

It's been so fun to actually be able to get out of the house and see the blue sky and just breath in the spring air. I love spring (except the rain... I hate the rain!:)

This last Sunday was really nice and we played a mock game. Girls against boys. The girls killed the boys... especially when Trish practically hit a home run... man she whacked it!!!

Okay... the boys were "probably" not playing to their full potential. I men Craig is awesome Steve (Nicole's way neat boyfriend) plays every sport well and played H.S. and college! And Brad is flat out really good. But, at least they let us pretend we were good!

We also helped Sami practice her soccer. She's getting better... the most important thing is she loves it!

We had a picture perfect day. We were looking west and the sun was setting in all it's gorgeous yellows deep oranges and vibrant reds. We had Isabelle and the kids 2 dogs running around and they were like perfect silhouettes in the sunset their white fur black outlines against the sun! It was so awesome to see them having fun and Trish and Natalie deep in conversation and Zach and Sami swinging from the soccer goal while Brad and Nicole and Steve practiced more Mad Skills! All the while Craig and I looking on at our perfect little family... all that was missing was Ryan and Chelsie and our little Korean Missionary!

How Lucky Are We?

Wow... i can't begin to describe the feeling that this last weekend gave me. I really do love President Monson... he's always been one that I looked forward to hearing at conference time! I spent the whole weekend waiting for him to speak... I couldn't wait to hear what the first things he said as our new prophet would be! And I was not disappointed. I feel really lucky to be apart of a church that believes in such wonderful men to guide and teach us to be better people by following their examples and devouring the word of the Lord through them!

I loved all the talks and espically the First Presidency... love 'em... but the talk in the 2nd Sunday session was a funny one for us. I forgot who it was, but he was talking to young mothers and then he started talking to the kids and he was saying about picking up their toys etc... then he said and kids tell you mothers that you love them. All of a sudden from no where Zach says in this little sing song voice, "Mommy I love you!". We all started laughing Natalie may have said "brown noser" Ahh so funny! Proof that they listen even when you are not sure they are!

I kept telling the kids that we are so lucky to get to watch conference in our PJ's and have our yummy traditional cinnamon rolls and daddy's "secret" eggs. Some people have to get dressed up and watch it on satellitte. some don't even get it at all and some like our Jeff have to wait and watch it later... we are so blessed beyond anything that I think we can comprehend. I goes beyond having such a wonderful prophet to lead and quide us... having the Book of Mormon... having the nice houses and clothes and friends. We have the truth. We know that we will live with our families again and that we will be with our Father again... what more is there?

Where does the time go?

I can't believe that last time I posted was in March... I don't know why life is so crazy and I have time to blog and then I don't!

We have had a crazy month of April so far. Baseball has started! I love watching Zachy play... he's so cute! He's on a great little team and for some reason he is their star hitter! His batting seems to be his strength and it's fun to see his confidence grow as he gets better and understanding the game. He's always wanted to play baseball and be like his big brothers I know how important it makes him feel!

The problem with baseball is this..... it's SO COLD! I hate April I really do. I hate the rain. I hate the cold. I can't stand it. And for some crazy reason I volunteered to do the scorebook. It's fun, but I actually have to pay attention to the game and not wonder around and say get some Hot chocolate cause did I mention it's COLD???

Sami is playing soccer again and that's fun to watch! She's the diviast (is that a word?) soccer player that I have ever seen! She is so funny to watch she tries so hard and I love to watch as her little self runs after the ball. That's mostly all she does because she runs so silly. I don't mean that rudely... she just can't run. I've never seen anything like it. She runs really flat footed and we can't figure out really what it is that she's doing... it's actually so darling! But, she hates that she isn't the best soccer player. She is so hard on herself and that's painful to watch your child doubt themselves. she is such a perfectionist and she just can't stand to not be the best at things.

I wonder if she gets that from me? I've been really thinking a lot lately about how mediocre I am. I have never excelled and anything and been really great at anything. I have sure tried a lot of different things, but never really excelled. What's the saying... conisouer of many things but expert at none... Well, I hope to instill in my children that it's the effort that counts and it's not how you play the game it's that you played the game at all!

I love being a mom in that regard because I get to see them grow and learn! I feel really lucky to have all these wonderful children to teach me valuable lessons!
