Sunday Beauty Parlor

We were bored today. I was sick with the worst migraine ever and so we were really lazy. Sami was dying to do someones hair. I am still not sure how she talked Craig into being her subject. You have to understand Craig can't handle his hair getting touched let alone all these elastics!

Zach let her do it too, but got embarrassed and took them out before I could get a picture!

Sami also has a restaurant and is coning us out of tons of money. She has made menus and is very into it. She's pricey. I think I spent about 4 bucks today and all I had was toast and lemonade! She's funny... It's cute the imagination she has and also the determination she has to make us all do what she wants us to do... gotta love childhood.

Dancing Queens

Sami has been taking "Cheerleadering" as she calls it! She loves it and can't wait for her recital in May... she's really cute I just couldn't resist taking a picture. Even though I got kicked out of the class becasue apparently it wasn't "parent watch day" wow... hard core!

It is competition season and Nat had a performance up in Layton. We got lost but we finally made it! I love going to her competitions... she's such a gorgeous dancer. She has real grace and it's just perfect for her lyrical style. She is a nut though:

My dad was really nice and came over to watch her dance. It was nice to have him there and to have him support Natalie!

Natalie always loves to stay for the awards AED rocks and they always clean up! It made it worth the hours I spent to wait for her do perform her 4 dances just to see her happy!

Easter in Hurricane

We decided to head to Hurricane for Easter and to visit with Craig's Mom and Dad.
The kids got all snuggled in the car with movies we got from Red Box before we left and of course treats!
I have no idea why there is a box in the car... Zach made himself some sort of fort I guess... don't ask.

Craig in his favorite chair... making fun of me he loves to embarrass me in front of his parents!

Zach with Grandma! The kids love going to their house! They love the games and puzzles and the bikes and the wood pile out back. We played baseball and Zach and I took a long bike ride hunting for a cave! We finally found it and is was worth it. It was a gorgeous hike with caves and lots of hills and character! I forgot my camera for that part I'm so mad!

This is the Hinton House. It belonged to Grandpa Olin's family and was transplanted to the city center and preserved with this nice plaque about Hurricane's First Family: THE HINTONS!!

Can you believe that I haven't ever been to Zions? Crazy I know... so we decided to take the kids and head up there! It's amazingingly breathtaking I was just blown away at how beautiful it was. Unfortunately, we only made it to the Patriarch site Sami got sick and we figured it would be better to head home than have her throw up on the packed buses! But, we saw enough to have a good day:

On our way home we saw an Ostrich farm on the side of the road and just had to stop for the photo-op:

Since it was Easter we had to go to and Egg Hunt! We found one the city was putting on and we were a little late and there were so many kids there and not a ton of candy that both kids were walking away with nothing until a little boy gave Zach about 4 eggs. They were so Egg-cited! Then we started walking to the car and in front of us was a boy about 10 years old and he was crying and had an empty bucket... both Zach and Sami both ran up to him and gave him 2 eggs each. They were so proud of themselves for having helped him have a better time!

We headed home for church on Sunday and all in all it was a really fun trip! We missed the other kids though. We usually will at least have Brad and Natalie when we go down there. Natalie went with her friend to St. George and Zions also and the others spend Easter at home.

Here's a few pics of Nat's trip:

Off Track Fun

I will admit it's not really that fun!

I hated this off-track for some reason we had a hard time. The kids fought and it was hard to keep them entertained enough to not fight! Wow... I feel like a failure of a mom when they are off-track ! I think the thing I hate most is the schedule interruption it's hard to get them to stay on the routine and then the days and nights just seem to last forever.

We did manage to do some fun things though we went to the library and we saw Hannah Montana and Race to Witch Mountain. We went to the park with my sis and her cute kids and the the aquarium with my dear friend Mis and her cute kids!

At the park Zach and Sage were being so funny we were laughing at them they were glued to each other the whole time. We caught them in the pavilion sitting by each other singing songs to each other it was so crazy! Then when they went on the zip line they couldn't separate from one another so they went across together!

Sami, McKenna and Aspen were equally hilarious! They were determined to do a pyramid and Sami wanted Aspen on her shoulders... the only problem is that Aspen and Sami are the same size... it was hysterical!

Take me out to the BallGAME!!

You know it's spring when Baseball starts~
Zach is on the Florida Marlins and is doing kid pitch again with Craig as his coach this year! We've only played one and a half games so far because of rain, but I love going to his games and watching him try so hard to big like his big brothers! Ryan is even an assistant coach and Zach loves that!

I made Curtains!!!

Okay so for me to make curtains it's a big accomplishment! But, I am so happy with how this room has turned out!!! For 10 years I have wanted my Den to look more sophisticated and I knew it neeeded some major help and window treatments. In order to get a curtain rod that fits a bay window you have to have it custom made so that was an ordeal. I had to take it back and have them cut it down a second time (it didn't fit the first time). Then I had to search to find a store with 5 sets of the SAME curtain rings. I found some at Ross I liked but they only had two I bought them thinking the other stores would. I visited every Ross in the valley with no luck! Then I found some at Tuesday Morning. They had 3 so they called another store they had the 2 I was so excited!!! Well, I get home get them all ready and they don't FIT! Ah... I was so frustrated! So I finally found 5 LARGE sets that I liked at Smith's Marketplace. This is after a couple of weeks of the curtains being on the floor! So after spending about seriously 5 hours in the fabric store to decide (Sami wanted to KILL ME I took so long). I bring the fabric home.... sew the pillows and curtains.... run all over to find rings and a rod.... about 4 weeks later I have this:

Prom Goddess

ISN'T SHE JUST GORGEOUS????
Okay maybe I am biased! But, she did look beautiful in the dress she borrowed from her sis Nicole! She went with Micheal and she choose the green for his tie because she likes green and black together... she had her toes painted green and just looked stunning! The sad thing is it took her about 20 minutes to get ready she spent the rest waiting!!! The other kids are her good friends Sawyer and Courtney and Jaron who took Kaitlin ( not in the pic yet)! Anyway, they had the dance at the Capitol and she said she had a blast! It's really weird that I have a daughter going to Jr. Prom.... where in the world did the time go?
