The 12 Days of Christmas

Nothing like a Dance Recital to get you in the mood for the Holiday season!

I heard about this idea to get everything for Christmas all wrapped up 12 days before Christmas and then each night spend it as a family to get into the true spirit of Christmas! I love it. We had a lot of really fun activities that we all did and a few really fun quiet nights just watching movies or playing games. I loved that it wasn’t about this mad rush to get it all done for Christmas and then crash, but to actually enjoy the magic of Christmas, the true meaning of Christmas which is the Spirit of Christ and I can not think of a better way to feel His love than being with my beloved family!
We kicked off the 12 days with a Gingerbread Contest:
TEAM 1… Although they had creativity, this feel down pretty quick!


TEAM 2… They won for structural design



Sledding up in Park City.. We had a blast we had everyone but Bradley… he was missed.






Taking Trax downtown to see the lights on Temple Square. So lucky to have had Phil and Kathleen in town to share in the Holiday fun!

I am lucky to have the family that I have! A wonderful husband and beautiful kids! We had a great year and December was a fun filled month to end it all! We had our ups and downs and it wasn’t all pretty, but because we love each other and have that knowledge that it is forever we somehow make it through by relying on one another!
I am looking forward to 2011 and all that it will bring with our wonderfully full family!

My Baby is 8

I tried my hand at making a cake… I probably should have made the caked the night before… they weren’t completely cool when I tried to frost them, but Sami loved it so that is all that mattered! She wanted a “wedding style” cake.. I don’t know why my 8 year wanted a wedding cake for her Birthday, but that is what she requested she wanted pink and black and white and she wanted to wear a wedding dress… I put my foot down on that one! She is my little diva though and I adore her she is so darling!!!








So here we go 8 THINGS I ADORE ABOUT MY SAM:
1. Her IMAGINATION… she is always making me smitl with the fun things she comes up with. She is convinced her blankie and her American Girl dolls are real. She’s always making us treat them as members of the family. She is always coming up with a hotel or resturant or spa game to play and we must all play along with her or endure her rath.
2. Her LOVING HEART… Sami is my little snuggle bug. She loves to get her blankie and cudlle and watch a movie. I love that she is always willing to give hugs. she worries about others and is always wanting to do something kind.
3. Her BIG BLUE EYES AND LITTLE MOUTH… I love Sami’s little face… she is just gorgeous to me! I love her little smile and the twinkle in her eye when she is excited about something.
4. Her BIG BRAIN… Sami is very smart and I am constatly reminding myself that she is only 8.She is always reading and she loves to do math and play school. Some of the words that come out of her mouth shock me that she even knows them!
5. Her STUBBORNNESS... It really doesn't matter what it is Sami "thinks" she wants she is so stubborn and head strong that she usually will get it! I do love this quality about her it is what makes her Sami.
6. Her FAITH... Sami is always praying and telling me little experiences and she loves to read the scriptures.
7. Her SILLINES... Sami makes us all laugh all the time... she makes little puppet shows or just the things she says that are cute or the dancing around and fun she likes to have.
8. Her SHYNESS... Sami is really shy until she knows you well and even then she still clings to me and is a mommy's girl!
