So it’s not secret that Halloween is not my favorite holiday! But, I have to admit that this year was a lot of fun. Zach and Sami were not maniacs about their costumes so we didn’t have to stress all year about them. I love that they both are becoming independent enough and even though we spent hours and hours on Sami’s hair (doing it 3 times during the month) they were pretty low maintenance!
We started the month off carving pumpkins and roasting the seeds… so YUMMY! We did a pumpkin spice mix on one batch and boy were they addicting!
The annual ward party was fun this year because Zach being in Young Men’s was now apart of the games and it was so fun to see him take charge and branch out with his buds! Sami was darling running around with the girls and she was thrilled beyond belief to have been awarded for her costume! She was so happy she came home and texted everyone she knew that she had one something, it was so darling that she was so happy about a ribbon.
Halloween day brought dissecting cow eyeballs for Zach at school and a fun party for both Zach and Sami in their classrooms. That is one thing I do enjoy helping with each year. We made strawberries dipped in white chocolate to resemble ghosts and then Gray and Nicole came over and they all had the best time running around after each other playing in the leaves. Zach and Sami love Gray so so much! They love when he visits! Then off to trick or treating. All and all a wonderful Halloween!
