Sami has been sick her whole life it seems... why is that??? We have had her to so many doctors that it's unreal...
We finally were able to get into a neurologist this last week. It was surreal looking at her file from primary. I don't think a 5 year old should have a file like that!
They ran some blood tests including thyroid of all things. All of which have since come back normal. She is scheduled for an MRI on thursday of this week. There is a rare condition they are looking for that wouldn't show up on a CT Scan. Also, they will be doing some more testing to check for some metoabolic disorders...
At this point, the Dr feels that we are looking for something rare. We have exhausted all the "normal" routes. If all else fails, he is thinking of putting her on a preventative migraing medication. It's actually one they use to treat seizures and has a high list of side effects. We aren't to thrilled about this option, so we hope that something else will turn up.
She was sick a total of 5 times (by sick i mean she vomitted) last week! No little girl should suffer like this. Our hearts are breaking as we watch it and we feel so helpless. Hopefully, something will break and we will get the answers we are needing to help her.
